Road tripping through the Pine Tree state

Mary, a member of the CoPilot Live Team just returned from a vacation in Maine and offered to share a little bit about her journey.  Enjoy!

Just got back from a road trip to Maine.  Spent Friday and Saturday celebrating my cousin’s wedding in Portland.  After the reception ended Saturday night, we packed up the Mountaineer loaded with the kids, their friends, the dog and my 84 year old mom.   And we are calling this a what:  vacation?  Destination entered into my CoPilot Live:  a waterfront cottage on Casco Bay in Harpswell, Maine.  I was a bit nervous travelling late at night in this jam-packed caravan, but my husband reassured me it was about an hour drive and very direct.  Take the interstate north to Brunswick and pick up 123, the main route on the peninsula.  And then it’s just a left off that.  Sounds good, right?

dealnews says CoPilot Live for $5 is a DEAL!

Thanks dealnews, we think so too!  CoPilot Live USA for iPhone was just featured as an Editor’s Choice from dealnews.  Here’s what they had to say: The iTunes App Store offers CoPilot Live USA for iPhone / iPod touch for $4.99. That’s the lowest total price we’ve seen for a full-featured GPS app by $15. This recently-released app offers turn-by-turn voice navigation, even during phone calls, and free map updates through December.

Thanks again dealnews!

CoPilot Live on ‘Froyo’ Android 2.2 – Update now available

We’ve released a CoPilot Live v8 update for Android that includes support for version 2.2 of the Android operating system, also known as ‘Froyo’. The update is available immediately as a free download to your Android smartphone.  We know many of you have been eagerly awaiting this update and we’d like to thank those of you who have been able to upgrade your phones to Froyo for your patience. It appears that many people have been able to download an unofficial version of the Froyo OS shortly after it was first announced in May, and it’s taken us several weeks to develop and road test our compatible version of CoPilot Live. Right now, Froyo is only officially available for Google’s Nexus One Smartphone.

Here’s how to install the update:

  • Android Market Customers: If you bought your CoPilot Live on the Android Market, you can get our latest app update from the Android Market
  • Boxed Product & Download Versions: If you purchased your CoPilot Live on the CoPilot webstore or through one of our authorised distributors, you’ll need to download and install the latest CoPilot Live app update by visiting www.copilotlive.com/androidinstall on your phone’s web browser.

Thank you for choosing CoPilot Live GPS navigation for your Android smartphone.

Happy travels this summer!

With summer in full swing, it’s the perfect time to take a road trip with friends and family.  There are some wonderful outdoor concerts, amusement parks, festivals and sporting events to enjoy.  Although, if you’re on the East Coast like us, make sure you pack lots of water and a hat or umbrella.  We’re in the middle of a heat wave and it looks like we’re in for triple-digit temperatures over the next few days!

Nowadays your closest friends and family may not live just down the street, or even in the same town.

With CoPilot Live navigating your road trip, picking up everyone is one less thing you need to worry about.  With the handy Multiple Stops feature, you can plan the journey to your ultimate destination with pick up points along the way—so nobody needs to miss the excursion. And with the ability to enter more than 20 stops or waypoints and optimize the route for the most efficient way to go, it may be time to hire the stretch limo after all… Continue reading ‘Tips and Tricks: Multi-stop trip planning and optimization’
